Il Fiore del Carnevale, Italian for The Flower of Carnival, is a handmade 16 strand kumihimo cuff, made using Mountain Colors 50/50 Raw Silk/Wool blend yarns in various colorways. The result is a blend of blues, purples, tans, pinks, beiges, and greens, in a lovely, nubby braid.
This piece has been handbeaded in peyote stitch across the ends, with a mix of Miyuki Delicas in various colors of blues, greens, pinks and purples, in opaque, matte, transparents, iridescent and vitrial finishes.
The centerpiece is a stunning handmade stoneware flower, made by Lisa Peters ART, with a matte glaze of pinks, yellows and blues and a center druk in teal vitrial. All beadwork was done with 8lb FireLine for strength and durability.
This cuff features a handmade silver plate jumpring extension chain and a silver plated lobster claw clasp. This allows the wearer to adjust the cuff size to their specific tastes.
